Facing financial challenges and a series of crises, Go First Airlines has declared suspension of its daily flight operations until Monday, October 2, 2023.
This move is attributed ‘due to operational reasons’ that have persisted since May 3, 2023. Taking to X (formerly known as Twitter), Go First communicated this development where it also urged its customers to refer to its official website for any questions regarding cancellations, refunds, or other related concerns. In an official notice, Go First said, “We regret to inform you that due to operational reasons, Go First flights scheduled till 02nd October 2023 have been cancelled. We apologise for the inconvenience caused by the flight cancellations.”

Recognizing that the flight cancellations may have caused inconvenience to passengers, the airline affirmed its commitment to providing all necessary assistance to affected travelers. It also expressed its sincere apologies for any disruption experienced by passengers. “We acknowledge the flight cancellations might have disrupted your travel plans and we are committed to providing all the assistance we can,” it added.
The company further stated, “As you are aware, the company has filed an application for immediate resolution and revival of operations. We will be able to resume bookings shortly. We thank you for your patience.”
For passengers in need of assistance, the grounded airline has made available a customer care number, 1800 2100 999, and an email address, [email protected].

According to a report by CNBS, it’s worth noting that Go First had requested an extension of the deadline for potential bidders to submit their expression of interest (EoI) since there had been no interest from strategic suitors.
Subsequently, on May 10, the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) approved Go First’s application to initiate voluntary insolvency resolution proceedings, with Abhilash Lal from Alvarez and Marsal being appointed as the interim Insolvency Resolution Professional (IRP) for the airline, reported Zee Business.
