From Meloni to Dalai Lama, Wishes Poured in From Top Leaders, Celebs For PM Modi's 73rd Birthday

Leaders from across the globe and the nation wished Prime Minister Narendra Modi as he celebrated his 73rd birthday on Sunday. The prime minister inaugurated YashoBhoomi convention centre and the extended airport express line in Delhi’s Dwarka.

Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni took to the microblogging site X to wish PM Modi and wrote, “Happy Birthday Wishes @narendramodi. A friend committed to building the future and proud of the history of a great nation close to Italy.”

Tibetan spiritual leader Dalai Lama also extended birthday greetings to prime minister Narendra Modi wishing him a long life and success in fulfilling people’s aspirations. Dalai Lama in his letter also congratulated the prime minister for the success the G20 Summit under India’s presidency.

The Buddhist leader wrote, “May I also take this opportunity to congratulate you on the success of India’s G20 presidency, culminating in the summit on the theme of ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam One Earth, One Family, One Future’. This is a theme that resonates strongly with me. I firmly believe in the oneness of humanity and encourage other people to appreciate its importance whenever I can,” said the Tibetan leader.”

He thanked India for its more than six-decade-long refuge to the Tibetans and hailed it for its long-held principles of non-violence and compassion. “India’s traditions of ahimsa and karuna are more than 1,000 years old. As the largest democracy and most populous nation on the planet, with a long tradition of inter-religious harmony, India presents an example to the world. “On behalf of the Tibetan people, may I once again express deep gratitude to the government and people of India for their hospitality and generous assistance to us over the last 64 years,” he said. The Buddhist leader prayed for the good health of the prime minister and wished him success in “fulfilling the hopes and aspirations of the people and contributing to the creation of a more compassionate, peaceful world.

Further Mauritius prime minister Pravind Jugnauth also wished PM Modi on his birthday and posted on X, “Heartiest wishes to Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji on his birthday. May him be blessed with good health and happiness. I have no doubt that his staunch resolve to serve his Nation and uplift partners will remain as steady as ever.”

Further, former Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu also sent his birthday greetings to the prime minister, saying that under PM Modi’s “exemplary leadership, Bharat has grown to unprecedented heights in all domains.”

Other than global leaders, several Bollywood actors also took to social media to wish the prime minister on his birthday. Shah Rukh Khan took to X and wrote, “Happy Birthday to Hon. PM Shri @narendramodi ji!!! Have a healthy and joyful day. May u get some time off from work and have a bit of fun too. Best wishes.”

Earlier, Akshay Kumar while sharing a picture with PM Modi on X wrote, “Happy Birthday @narendramodi ji. Keep inspiring us, year after year. Wishing you great health, prayers and happiness always.”

Actor Anupam Kher also took to his Instagram handle to wish the prime minister in a heartwarming note, “Respected Prime Minister @narendramodi ji! Wish you a very happy birthday! May God grant you a long and healthy age! May you continue to lead our India for many years to come with the same loyalty and hard work. In the last 9 years, what you have done for the country, all Indians in every corner of the world feel proud. Your lifestyle is extremely inspiring. My mother, who calls you a saint, is also sending you her loving blessings. Hail!”

Kajol also took to X and wrote, “Happy Birthday to our honourable Prime Minister @narendramodi ji! May your vision for a stronger India continue to thrive, and may this year bring great accomplishments.”

Meanwhile, Salman Khan — on his X handle — wrote, “Wishing Hon PM Shri Narendra Modi Ji A Very Happy Birthday…@narendramodi”.
