The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has officially announced the final date for the collection of pass certificates for the Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (FMGE). Candidates who have successfully passed the FMGE 2023 conducted by NBEMS have been issued their pass certificates after a verification process of their identity and essential examination documents. However, it has come to the board’s attention that some candidates have yet to collect their FMGE pass certificates on the designated dates or even after the specified period.
The last date to collect the pass certificates is February 28, 2024. Detailed information regarding this can be found in the official notification posted on natboard.edu.in.
“In an event a FMGE qualified candidate who has not collected his/her FMGE Pass Certificate till date fails to collect the same even by 28.02.2024, it will be assumed that he/she does not possess required documents to fulfil eligibility and therefore, his/her candidature for said FMGE qualified would stand cancelled. No further opportunity to claim the FMGE Pass Certificate shall be extended,” read the official notice.
Candidates who have not yet collected their FMGE pass certificates are required to retrieve them no later than February 28, 2024. To facilitate this process, they must request an appointment from NBEMS via the Communication Web Portal (CWS). Subsequently, they should visit the NBEMS office, situated at PSP Area, Sector-9, Dwarka, New Delhi, at the designated time to receive their FMGE 2023 pass certificates.
It is crucial to note that candidates will be issued the pass certificate only after completing the required document submission and identity verification procedures, which may involve methods like face ID or biometrics. The pass certificate cannot be handed over to anyone other than the candidate themselves, even in situations where an authorised representative is involved.
Candidates who require an eligibility certificate for the FMGE exam in December 2023 can submit the application on the NMC website until October 25, 2023. The NMC (National Medical Commission) conducts the Foreign Medical Graduate Examination biannually, catering to both Indian and international candidates who seek provisional or permanent registration from the Medical Council of India (MCI) or their respective State Medical Councils (SMCs) to pursue medical practice or studies in India.
The Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (FMGE), which is also called the Screening Test for Foreign Medical Graduates, was established under the Screening Test Regulations in 2002.
