India took on Afghanistan in the second match of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 at the Arun Jaitley International Stadium in Delhi. Chasing 273 to win, India came out with an 8-wicket victory against Afghanistan on Wednesday.

Rohit Sharma who went on a six-hitting spree smashed 131 runs on 84 balls to record the most number of centuries in the history of the World Cup, while other players also chipped in with useful contributions including Virat Kohli (55), Ishan Kishan (47), and Shreyas Iyer (25), among others.

The skipper who couldn’t do much in the previous encounter let the unit from the front and gave a smashing performance, laying the solid foundation for India in the run chase.
