Assembly Election Exit Polls Results 2023 Date and Time: After Telangana goes to polls on Thursday (November 30), political enthusiasts will eagerly wait till the clock strikes 6.30 in the evening and the ban on publishing exit poll results will be lifted. These results will provide the first look into voting trends, public sentiment and potential outcomes in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Mizoram, Chhattisgarh and Telangana.
While the counting of votes will take place on December 3, exit polls are conducted by survey agencies and published by the media ahead of the counting day. Exit polls provide a glimpse into the mood of voters and are based on opinion analysis of people leaving a polling booth and how they voted.
Mizoram, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan voted in a single phase on November 7, 17 and 25. The polling in Chhattisgarh was held in two phases on November 7 and 17. Telangana goes to polls on November 30.
Earlier, the Election Commission of India had issued a notification banning the conduct, publication and publicity of exit polls from 7 am on November 7 to 6.30 pm on November 30. Citing provisions of the electoral law, the panel said “any person who contravenes the provisions of this section shall be punishable with imprisonment for a term which may extend to two years or with fine or with both”.
The EC also notified the period between 7 am on November 7 and 6.30 pm on November 30 as the period during which conducting and publishing or publicising exit poll by means of print or electronic media or dissemination in any other form whatsoever, the result of any exit poll in connection with the five elections and assembly by election in Nagaland, shall be prohibited.
So, when will exit poll results be published?
Exit poll results for all the five states will be declared after 6.30 pm on November 30. Voting in Telangana will conclude at 6 pm.

Voting for the 90-seat Chhattisgarh assembly took place in two phases and had an overall 76.31 percent voter turnout. The first phase voting for 20 seats had 78 percent turnout, while the second phase voting for 70 seats had 75.88 percent turnout. In the previous election in 2018, the state registered a 76.88 percent voter turnout.
Voting for the Rajasthan assembly for 199 seats recorded 75.45 percent turnout, which is a marginal improvement from the 2018 when the state recorded 74.71 percent.
Voting for 230 seats in the Madhya Pradesh assembly witnessed 77.15 percent voter turnout.
