The Sainik Schools are considered among the most prestigious schools in the country. Thus, getting admission into the schools is quite challenging, as admission is based on the performance of candidates in the All-India Sainik Schools Entrance Examination (AISSEE). Recently, the National Testing Agency (NTA) started the online registration process for admission to Sainik Schools in November.
However, candidates should note that the National Testing Agency (NTA) will end the registration process for AISSEE 2024 tomorrow, December 16. Interested candidates can register for AISSEE 2024 through the official website of AISSEE ataissee.ntaonline.in.
As per the official notification released by the NTA, if candidates fail to register before the deadline, then no applications will be further entertained by the agency.
The admission guidelines by Sainik School specify that as of March 31, 2024, children between the ages of 10 and 12 can enrol in the sixth grade, whereas a student must be between the ages of 13 and 15 to be eligible to take admission in the ninth grade at any Sainik School.
Candidates falling under the general category have to pay Rs 650 at the time of registration, while candidates from the SC and ST category are required to pay Rs 500 as AISSEE application fees.
AISSEE 2024: How to Register For Sainik Schools?
Step 1: Candidates need to fill out the registration form available on the official website of AISSEE at exams.nta.ac.in/AISSEE
Step 2: Look for the ‘AISSEE 2024 Application Form’ there and proceed with the application form
Step 3:Key in the required details, including your name, date of birth, home address, contact details and a valid email address
Step 4: Select the class you want to take admission for, class 6 or class 9.
Step 5: Scan and upload the essential documents (including photograph and signature) to complete the application form
Step 6: Now, pay the applicable fee through the provided online payment options and confirm your application.
Step 7: Check the form thoroughly before submitting the application as there will be no chance for any kind of improvement later.
The AISSEE 2024 written examination will be conducted following the completion of the Sainik Schools enrollment process. As of now, the National Testing Agency has scheduled to conduct the AISSEE examination in pen and paper mode on January 21, 2024.
Candidates should further note that the examination for Class 6 will be conducted from 2 pm to 4:30 pm i.e., for 2 hours 30 minutes and Class 9 the exam will be held for 3 hours from 2 pm to 5 pm.
