Shah Rukh Khan is currently gearing up for the release of his highly anticipated next Dunki. Helmed by Rajkumar Hirani, the film is all set to hit the theatres on 21st December and also stars Taapsee Pannu and Vicky Kaushal in pivotal roles. While the trailer received a lot of love from fans, a certain section of society slammed SRK for his ‘forced’ Punjabi accent.
SRK has now addressed the same during the #AskSRK session. A fan asked, ‘Sir Expecting some Punjabi dialogues from you in #Dunki #AskSrk’. Responding to the tweet, he wrote, “Not too many I don’t speak it too well so have left that part to @taapsee and #Vicky they are brilliant. #DunkiTrailer,” The actor admitted that he doesn’t speak the language well.

Dunki trailer offers a peek into the endearing world of Rajkumar Hirani. Opening with SRK onboard a train, setting the tone for the adventure that lies ahead. The video unit introduces the wonderfully whimsical characters starting with Hardy, played by SRK, who enters a picturesque village in Punjab and encounters a group of spirited friends – Manu, Sukhi, Buggu, and Balli, all sharing a common dream of travelling to London in pursuit of better opportunities and a better life for their loved ones back home.
Encapsulating all the myriad emotions in one frame, this heart-warming tale follows four friends on an extraordinary journey to foreign lands, filled with challenges and life-changing experiences.
Soon after the trailer was shared, several social media users reacted to it and expressed excitement for the film. While several wrote, “cannot wait”, others shared they are confident that Dunki will be SRK’s one of the biggest movie ever. Watch the trailer here:
Directed by Rajkumar Hirani, Dunki also stars Boman Irani, Vikram Kochhar and Anil Grover. The film marks the first collaboration between superstar Shah Rukh Khan and filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani. Two songs from the film have already been released and are being widely loved by the audience. While Lutt Putt Gaya was released on November 22, Nikle The Kabhi Hum Ghar Se was out more recently on December 1.
