Shah Rukh Khan Opens Up On Playing Anti-Hero In Jawan, Says 'I Find Heroes Very Boring'

While Shah Rukh Khan is called the King of Romance in Bollywood, he has always proved that he can play anti-heroes also very well on screen. Whether it was his negative role in Darr or in recently released Jawan; SRK has never fails to impress all with his top-notch performances. Recently, Shah Rukh Khan opened up about playing anti-heroes and revealed that he ‘loves bad guys’. The superstar went on to say that he finds heroes ‘boring’ and added playing a bad guy in screen is interesting.

“I never wanted to play the hero. I find heroes very boring. I find them doing all the good things, nice things. To be able to do this good, I need to quickly transfer to do bad to understand that part, so that I can come and do the good guy with a lot of gusto again. You know, just playing the good guy again and again and again and being nice, puppy-eyed, doe-eyed is boring after sometime. Yes, I like playing the bad guy. I love bad guys,” SRK told IMDb. This comes at a time when Shah Rukh Khan is enjoying the success of his recently released movie Jawan. The Atlee directorial has broken several box office records ever since its release. It has become the best-ever Hindi opener at global box office and in the domestic market too. The film also holds the record of highest single-day earner of all time. It also became the first Hindi movie to enter Rs 200 crore club in just three days. Several celebrities including Karan Johar, Allu Arjun, SS Rajamouli, Kangana Ranaut, Sidharth Malhotra, Tiger Shroff and Ameesha Patel among others have also praised the Shah Rukh Khan starrer.

Jawan is now inching close to Rs 400 crore mark at the box office. It has collected Rs Rs 388.72 crore as of now.
