Ranbir Kapoor recalled about the time when his daughter Raha was born since he was shooting for Sandeep Reddy Vanga's Animal.

The moment is finally here when the makers of Ranbir Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Rashmika Mandanna starrer Animal unveiled the much-awaited trailer in Delhi, amid frenzied fans and press. The pan-India film that has been grabbing all the eyeballs for it’s intriguing teaser and soulful songs is all set for a grand release on December 1. Addressing the media at the music launch hosted by Spotify India, Ranbir Kapoor revealed that Raha was born during the course of the shoot and how he would rush home after wrapping up to see her.

The actor shared, “I was doing this film and my daughter raha was born toh I would shoot and then go home and see her, it was surreal.” He also shared that despite the intensity of his characters, he prefers to go back to his family as himself. Explaining the reason behind it, he stated, “I am a detached person. I never take my character home. It’s not fair for my loved ones. Agar main agar jaake aise act karta toh meri biwi mujhe maarti.”

The trailer presents how Ranbir’s character’s attachment leads him on the path of becoming a gangster, eventually coming to face with his nemesis, played by Bobby Deol. It also reveals that Anil Kapoor will be playing Ranbir’s father in the movie. On the other hand, Rashmika Mandanna will be Ranbir’s love interest.

Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, Animal marks Ranbir and Rashmika’s first movie together. On Wednesday, it was revealed that the movie has been granted ‘A’ – adult-only certificate by the Central Board of Film Certification. It was further revealed that the Sandeep Reddy Vanga directorial is 3 hours and 21 minutes long.

In one of his previous Instagram LIVE sessions, Ranbir Kapoor talked about Animal and revealed that he had to undergo a massive transformation for the film. “For Animal, I had shaved my hair! For the last scene, I had done that. So now I am growing my hair. Since I am not working on any film, I am eating a lot, and not following any diet. I have changed my entire lifestyle. I have quit smoking, so I am eating a lot of chocolates,” he said.

Animal will hit theatres on December 1. This means that the film will clash at the box office with Vicky Kaushal’s Sam Bahadur.
