Kriti Sanon Makes A Bold Statement On Nepotism, Says, 'Make Sure You’re Also Giving Space To Someone...'
Kriti Sanon, who made her way in the industry despite being an outsider, recently opened up on the nepotism debate.

The talented and beautiful Kriti Sanon has come a long way since her days as a struggling model to winning the coveted National Award for Best Actress for her outstanding performance in Mimi. She has also come a long way from Heropanti 2 to Ganapath, carving her own niche with different roles as an outsider.

In a recent chat with Vogue India, the actress said that outsiders in the industry should have equal opportunities. “The industry can become more accessible for outsiders if we start creating equal opportunities — if you’re launching someone from the industry, make sure you’re also giving space to someone who doesn’t belong but is probably more talented,” Kriti said. “Slowly, very slowly, the world is tilting towards talent and scripts rather than stars and big names,” she added.

During a chat with India Today at Conclave Mumbai 2023, Kriti had opened up on her journey from studying engineering to becoming an actor. She had mentioned that she had never seriously thought about choosing acting as a career. “I think it all has to start with dreams. I always feel that I have been a dreamer, in my head an achiever. Bachpann me log boltey hai mujhey actress banna hai, main bhi bolti thi (like others, even I used to say as a kid that I wanted to become an actress). I used to watch Madhuri Dixit and her songs and used to copy them. But acting was never something that I thought of seriously at all. I was always into academics. It was a very academic kind of an atmosphere at home and this is something that kind of just happened,” she had said.

On the professional front, Kriti Sanon has an exciting lineup of projects. She will star in Rajesh Krishnan’s upcoming comedy-drama The Crew alongside Kareena Kapoor and Tabu. That apart, she will also star in Tarun Mansukhani’s Housefull 5. The film also features Akshay Kumar, Sanjay Dutt, Jacqueline Fernandez, John Abraham, Pooja Hegde and others.
