Kangana Ranaut had once called Alia Bhatt the ‘undisputed queen’ of Bollywood. Back in 2018, Kangana was among the many stars who made their way to the theatres to watch Raazi. The film, directed by Meghna Gulzar, starred Alia Bhatt in the lead and had surpassed Rs 100 crore at the box office at the time. Kangana had watched the film a few days after the release and had praised Raazi and Alia. In a video shared on YouTube at the time, Kangana interacted with media and the paparazzi gathered outside the theatre.
“I really liked Raazi. A splendid job by Meghna Gulzar," Kangana told the media before she mentioned Alia’s name. “I have no words (for Alia), she is so good. Meghna and Alia had called me for a trail (preview) but I couldn’t attend it because I was shooting at the time. But I promised them that I will see it soon."
“She is the crowned queen, undisputed queen most definitely. It’s Alia’s world and we are just living in it," Kangana said.

Kangana and Alia have been busy with their projects this year. Alia was seen in Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani this year, which was directed by Karan Johar. The film also starred Ranveer Singh in the lead. Soon after, she made her Hollywood debut with Heart of Stone. She was seen sharing the screen with Gal Gadot. The film released on Netflix. Alia also made the headlines for winning the Best Actress National Award for her performance in Gangubai Kathiawadi. She shared the award with Kriti Sanon, who won the award for Mimi.
On the other hand, Kangana has two big releases this year. She will be seen in Tejas, slated to release in October. The film is set to clash with Tiger Shroff’s Ganpath. She will then be seen in Emergency. The film is based on the events that unfolded under Indira Gandhi’s Prime Minister term. She is not only starring as Indira Gandhi in the political drama but she is also helming the film.
