Jacqueline Fernandez Claims Sukesh Chandrashekhar Made A 'Fool' Out Of Her: 'There Were Others...'

Jacqueline Fernandez has moved Delhi High Court in Rs 200 crore extortion case involving alleged conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar. In the plea filed by the actress, which is being heard today, she sought case against her by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) to be dismissed. Jacqueline argued that all allegations against her are false and added that she has been cheated by not just Sukesh but also Aditi Singh, who is also under lens in the case.

“The petitioner is an innocent victim of Sukesh Chandrasekhar’s maliciously targeted attack. There is absolutely no indication that she had any involvement whatsoever in aiding him to launder his purportedly ill-gotten wealth. Hence she cannot be prosecuted… under the prevention of money laundering Act,” the petition read as quoted by NDTV.

“Why does the court need to exercise its quashing power today?” questioned the High Court to Jacqueline. In response, Jacqueline’s lawyer said, “This person (Sukesh Chandrashekhar) made a fool out of me.” Providing background to the case, Aggarwal for Jacqueline mentioned, “Sukesh is sitting in jail and carrying out extortion and fraud from there.” Siddharth Aggarwal continued, explaining, “EOW comes to me, records my statement, finds that what I have to say is relevant to their investigation.” Jacqueline added, “EOW said that I’m an important prosecution witness…I record everything before a magistrate.” According to EOW, Jacqueline didn’t receive these gifts knowingly, but the ED registers a case and states, “You received these gifts knowingly,” as highlighted by Siddharth Aggarwal. When asked about other individuals involved, Aggarwal responded, “There are others too, but what’s special in my client?”

Sukesh Chandrashekhar, who is currently lodged in Delhi’s Mandoli jail in connection to the case, was rumoured to be in a relationship with Jacqueline. While the has repeatedly denied any kind of romantic relationship with Sukesh, she is an accused in the case and has also been questioned by the Enforcement Directorate multiple times.
