Gopichand Padalkar Calls for State-wide Protest on November 21 Over Dhangar Reservation
BJP MLC Gopichand Padalkar also announced Hindustan Shivmalhar Kranti Sena to bring all Bahujans in the state together

BJP MLC and Dhangar leader Gopichand Padalkar has called for a state-wide protest at every tehsil office on November 21, demanding inclusion of Dhangars in the Scheduled Tribe (ST). Padalkar also spelt that the next round of action would include a protest march in Nagpur during the winter session of the state legislature. The BJP leader announced to set up Hindustan Shivmalhar Kranti Sena to bring together all the Bahujans in the state.

Appealing to the Dhangar community to take a lead role for the Bahujan community, Padalkar said, “We have to play the role of big brother and take smaller backward communities with us. We never do injustice with people but we fight against every injustice. Therefore, I announce to form Hindustan Shivmalhar Kranti Sena to bring all the Bahujans together on the same platform.”

Recalling the deadline for the inclusion of the Dhangar community into the ST quota, Padalkar said the government is left with only 40 days. “Our fight for the quota has reached the last phase now. We will have to hit the street to force the government to take the decision as per our demand,” he said during the Dussehra celebrations at Shri Kshetra Biroba Arewadi, Sangli.

Daulat Shitole from Jai Malhar Kranti Sena and Abhishek Deshmukh, grandson of late leader Ganpat Deshmukh, were also present at the event.

The BJP leader even criticised NCP chief Sharad Pawar without naming him and held him responsible for breaking unity among the Dhangars. “One person is trying to break us apart. But we have been given a reservation by Babasaheb Ambedkar. His nephew broke with him. But Bahujan leader Chhagan Bhujbal is being blamed for that. There were attempts to destroy his Samata Parishad too,” he said.

Padalkar said Bahujans are being used to create a rift within the community and gain political benefits from it. “BK Kokare formed Yashwant Sena against Sharad Pawar. The same party, however, today, is working in connivance with Pawar, which is sad. They are trying to create a rift between us and use us for their political gain,” he said.

Padalkar further said late BJP leader Gopinath Munde who represented the Vanjara community was too targeted by Pawar.
