Amitabh Bachchan met his fans outside his Mumbai home, Jalsa, on his birthday and thanked them for their wishes with folded hands. The superstar turned 81 on Wednesday, October 11. The legendary actor rang in his birthday with wife Jaya Bachchan, their children and grandchildren at home. However, Big B sneaked out of the house for a few minutes to greet fans that had gathered outside his house to wish him.
In a video shared by a paparazzo, Amitabh was seen wearing a colourful ensemble and had his head covered. The actor met his fans with a big smile and expressed his gratitude to them with folded hands. He was seen waving at them as well while they chanted his name.

Amitabh Bachchan expressed his gratitude to all the birthday love he has been receiving through a post on his blog. The actor wrote, “Your blessings my good fortune!” Big B’s daughter Shweta Bachchan and granddaughter Navya Naveli Nanda shared glimpses of his midnight birthday bash.
The duo revealed that they rang in Amitabh’s birthday at home with family members. Navya took to her Instagram Stories and shared a photo with the family. In the photo, Big B stood in the middle while Navya was seen posing with Aaradhya by her side and Jaya stood on the other side with Agastya. Sharing the photo, Navya wrote, “Happy Birthday Nana.”
Shweta also took to her Instagram account and shared a photo collage featuring Amitabh from the in-house party. “Happy 81st Papa Big shoes ( and hugs ) no one can ever manage to fill ,” she wrote.
On the work front, Amitabh is busy with a number of projects. The actor is currently hosting Kaun Banega Crorepati. He has Kalki AD 2898 with Prabhas and Deepika Padukone, and it was recently announced that he will reunite with Rajinikanth for his upcoming Tamil film. Amitabh will also be seen in Ganapath this month.
