Aamir Khan Makes 1st Appearance at Daughter Ira's Haldi, Wears Casual Tee and Dhoti Pants | Watch

Aamir Khan was spotted at his daughter Ira Khan’s Haldi ceremony on Tuesday in Mumbai. Ira is getting married to her longtime boyfriend Nupur Shikhare. Last year, Aamir confirmed to News18 India that the wedding will take place in the first week of January. And now, the pre-wedding festivities have kicked off. On Tuesday, the paparazzi spotted Aamir at ceremony but in an unusual avatar. He ditched the traditional outfit and opted for a casual tee and a pair of dhoti pants.

The actor was spotted with messy hairdo. When he noticed the paparazzi, he seemed surprised by them and even told them that his hair is still undone. Watch the video below:

Earlier in the day, Aamir’s ex-wives Reena Dutta and Kiran Rao, actor Fatima Sana Shaikh and Imran Khan were spotted making their way to the Haldi ceremony. While Reena opted for a green sari, draped in a Maharashtrian style, Kiran, too, wore a sari. She opted for a lavender sari, draped in a traditional Maharashtrian style. Ira and Nupur are all set to tie the knot on tomorrow, January 3.

About the big day, a source told News18, “The Khan family is elated as they’re going to start the new year with a bang. Ira and Nupur will get married on January 3 at Bandra’s plush Taj Lands End hotel. Following that, there will be two reception parties that will take place – one in Delhi and the other in Jaipur – between January 6 and 10.”

We have also learnt that Aamir is particularly excited to get his daughter married and has personally been making calls to his friends and peers in B-town to grace the wedding and bless the couple. “Most actors aren’t in town due to the holiday season. But be assured that it’s going to be a star-studded affair. Those who won’t be able to make it to their big day will be a part of the reception in Jaipur,” added the source.
