Yami Gautam has made a powerful comeback to the silver screen with the compelling film Article 370. Since the launch of its trailer, the movie has been met with a positive response, and following its release last week, it has achieved tremendous success, even earning praise from Prime Minister Narendra Modi. During the trailer launch, Yami surprised her fans by announcing her pregnancy alongside her husband and filmmaker, Aditya Dhar. Despite the challenges, Yami dedicatedly filmed for the movie during her early pregnancy days. Since the official announcement, the couple has openly shared their excitement and joy about embarking on this new journey.
In a recent interview with Hindustan Times, Aditya expressed their overwhelming emotions, mentioning they were jumping with joy, while Yami admitted she couldn’t stop smiling throughout the experience. Remembering the moment they came to know about pregnancy while shooting for Article 370, the filmmaker said, “We were in the hotel. Luckily, our action portions were done by then. It was a really happy moment, something I will remember for the rest of our lives. We were jumping with joy and emotional. Now we can’t wait.”
While Yami added, “You are never prepared for a moment like this. You only realise once you are in it. You get happy when it happens to your loved ones, like when my sister was pregnant. When it has happened to me, I can’t stop smiling. You forget everything and then come back to reality to plan. It’s a very personal time, we are private people. We had to be cautious.”
During the shoot of the film, Yami Gautam revealed that there was a dedicated panel of doctors available all the time to address any concerns related to her pregnancy. Despite having this support system, Yami, inspired by her mother’s strength during pregnancy, was determined not to restrict herself and credited her husband, Aditya Dhar for his support throughout the journey. For the actess Aditya was her go to person for her pregnancy related queries. The Uri star acknowledged his efforts in trying to provide answers, but she recalled a moment when he reminded her that he isn’t a doctor.
In previous media interactions, the soon-to-be parents shared that, fortunately, all the action scenes for the film were shot before they became aware of Yami’s pregnancy.
Apart from Yami Gautam, Article 370 features Priyamani, Skand Thakur, Ashwini Kaul, Vaibhav Tatwawadi, Arun Govil and Kiran Karmarkar in pivotal roles.
