However, rumours have it that the audience will soon see Smriti Irani enter the show Anupama, marking the BJP leader’s possible return to the world of television. However, Irani junked the rumour as “fake news”.
Smriti Irani, known for her iconic role as ‘Tulsi’ in the legendary soap opera Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, transitioned to politics after her acting career. Recently, rumours circulated that she would make her television comeback after 15 years with Anupama. However, Irani has labelled these reports as false.
In response to a social media post by Telechakkar discussing her alleged return, Smriti Irani commented, stating simply: “Fake News.”
Irani’s last notable appearance in the acting world was in the comedy-drama Maniben.com, followed by a role in the Bengali film Amrita in 2012. Since then, she has focused on her political career, stepping away from the entertainment industry.
With her confirmation, it is now evident that Smriti Irani will not be joining Anupama. Meanwhile, viewers can expect several dramatic twists in the show’s plot following the recent time jump.
