When Katrina Kaif Took Shah Rukh Khan's Case After He Described Her as 'Gentle'; Watch Video

Katrina Kaif is known for her unfiltered nature. Time and again, she has shown that she is as real as one could get. One such incident dates back to 2012 when she was promoting Jab Tak Hai Jaan with Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma. The trio was on stage and was asked to share their experience of working with each other. While Shah Rukh described Anushka with many adjectives, he described Katrina as ‘gentle’. Katrina did not shy away from taking his case.

When she was asked to describe her experience of working with Shah Rukh, she said, “Let’s be fair, Shah Rukh used one word to describe me – ‘gentle,’ which had absolutely no relation to acting, talent, looks or my career. He used 25 (words) to describe Anushka, so…how was the experience? It was…umm…good!” Her answer left Shah Rukh speechless.

He tried to nudge her into speaking a little more about him, Katrina replied, “But you seriously disappointed me… gentle? I mean that’s like one step below hardworking. Hardworking is generic it does not speak about exactly what you do and gentle… is what?” Shah Rukh was visibly surprised.

Katrina continues to impress with her acting prowess in various successful films. In the recent movie Merry Christmas, directed by Sriram Raghavan, Katrina essayed the character of Maria, garnering positive feedback from critics. The film also starred Vijay Sethupathi, Tinnu Anand and Vinay Pathak, with both Katrina and Vijay receiving acclaim for their performances. Reflecting on her experience working with Vijay, Katrina described it as “Unique, unusual and very liberating,” emphasising his authenticity and comfort on camera.

In addition to Merry Christmas, Katrina is set to feature in the upcoming film Chandu Champion, directed by Kabir Khan. Currently in the post-production phase, the film is slated to release on June 14. Chandu Champion delves into the life of Murlikant Petkar, India’s first Paralympic gold medalist, who achieved this feat at the 1972 Summer Paralympics in Heidelberg, Germany. Petkar also set a world record in the 50-meter freestyle swimming event with a time of 37.33 seconds. The movie stars Kartik Aaryan in the lead role alongside Shraddha Kapoor, Manoj Anand and others.
