Jeetendra is one such Bollywood star who has delivered many hits in his illustrative career. The actor had charmed everyone with his handsome looks, unique dancing style and his stellar acting skills that drew the crowds to the theatres. He marked his debut with the movie Geet Gaya Patharon Ne opposite Rajshree. It was with Farz that he catapulted to fame. Did you know he was once thrown out of a movie by a director? Jeetendra hailed from a non-filmy background and cemented his place as one of the top actors in the industry. He left an indelible mark on the silver screen with his choice of scripts and talent. But initially, he had to struggle a lot to make his own place. His journey in the cinematic world started as an extra. In his first film ever, Jeetendra worked as a body double of a heroine. Once, while working as a junior artist, he was a part of V Shantaram’s movie Sehra. He was required to reach the set at 8 am. Jeetendra reached the set half an hour late. The director reportedly got angry and threw him out of the film and said, “I don’t want to see his face.”
After being thrown out, Jeetendra called up his father and narrated the entire incident to him. After listening, he too scolded his son which changed the actor’s life as it had a huge impact on his career. From then onwards, he was always punctual.
Jeetendra has given many hits including Farz, EK Hasina Do Diwane, Himmatwala, Humjoli, Dharti Kahe Pukarke, and Mere Humsafar. His unique style statement and dancing skills earned him the title of Jumping Jack of Bollywood. On the professional front, he marked his debut on OTT in 2020 with the ALT Balaji web series titled Baarish. It also starred Asha Negi and Sharman Joshi. He was last seen in Voot’s web series Apharan Season 2 in 2021. The series also featured Arunoday Singh, Mahie Gill and Nidhi Singh.
