Vidya Balan Breaks Silence on Her Intimate Scenes in Do Aur Do Pyaar: 'My Laughter Gave...'
Vidya Balan talks about approaching intimate scenes in Do Aur Do Pyaar.

Vidya Balan is all set to appear in Do Aur Do Pyaar this weekend. Paired opposite Pratik Gandhi, the actress plays the role of a woman stuck in a loveless marriage who is having an extra marital affair. The trailer teased Vidya and Pratik will have a few intimate scenes in the film. Vidya has now opened up about the scenes and said that her laughter doubled up as a relief in ‘uncomfortable or intimate scenes.’

Speaking with Free Press Journal, Vidya said, “As actors, we are trained to portray characters but most of the times, my laughter on the sets gave enough breather to the discomforting or intimate scenes. The way this film is written is pleasing, there is a light touch to a subject like infidelity. The writing is very fun and nuanced at the same time which is a very fine balance. The film could have become very serious or frivolous else.”

Meanwhile, a star-studded premiere of the film took place on Wednesday night. Vidya was seen greeting several stars at the premiere. This includes her Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 co-star Kartik Aaryan. The announcement of Vidya’s comeback in Bhool Bhulaiyaa franchise has generated a lot of excitement following the success of its previous installments. Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 will feature Kartik Aaryan in the lead role alongside Triptii Dimri. However, the addition of Vidya to Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 has fans eagerly awaiting the movie’s release.

As for Do Aur Do Pyaar, besides Vidya and Pratik, the film also stars Ileana D’Cruz and Sendhil Ramamurthy. The trailer shows the couple cheating on each other. Vidya is depicted dating Sendhil, but Pratik falls for Ileana D’Cruz. There are scenes in which all couples struggle hard to make marriage work. When Illeana’s character becomes pregnant, Pratik questions her about who the father is. The slice-of-life romantic comedy depicts the interpersonal turmoil, perplexity, self-doubt, and dissatisfaction of metropolitan lovers.
