Usher and Jennifer Goicoechea get married hours after the R&B singer’s performance at the Super Bowl Halftime Show.

Usher and Jennifer Goicoechea have taken their relationship to the next level, as the two officially tied the knot in Las Vegas. Ahead of the marriage, the R&B singer and his longtime girlfriend had obtained a marriage license a few days before the Super Bowl. Confirming the news, People reported that the couple exchanged vows at the Vegas Weddings’ Terrace Gazebo, an outdoor wedding chapel. The exact timing of the wedding remains uncertain, but it took place shortly after Usher performed at the Super Bowl Halftime Show. Reportedly, the marriage certificate lists the singer’s mother, Jonetta Patton, as the couple’s witness and the ceremony was officiated by the Rev. Ronald Joseph Polrywka, also known as Ron DeCar.

A representative for the singer informed the portal, “We can confirm that Usher and Jennifer Goicoechea took the next step in their relationship and did get married on Sunday night in Las Vegas surrounded by close friends and family. They both look forward to continuing to raise their children together surrounded by love and thank everyone for the well wishes.”

As per statement secured by ABC News, chapel owner Melody Willis-Williams said, “Congratulations to the Newlyweds. We were beyond thrilled to host this epic day for Usher and his new wife. As much as we love, love. This is the couple’s news to share any further details on. We’ll always be fans of Usher.”

Usher and Jennifer Goicoechea’s recent wedding marks the R&B singer’s third marriage, while it’s the first for Goicoechea. The singer was previously married to stylist Tameka Foster from 2007 to 2009. Together, they share two sons, Usher V and Naviyd Ely. In 2015, he tied the knot with entertainment executive Grace Harry, but their union ended in 2018. Usher and Jennifer, who are said to be in a relationship since 2019, are proud parents to two children. Their firstborn, daughter Sovereign Bo, arrived in 2020, followed by the birth of their son, Sire Castrello, in 2021.

In an earlier interview with People, Usher spoke about his relationship with Goicoechea and he felt honoured to share his life with someone who not only wants to be a part of his journey but also loves and respects him for who he is. The Super Bowl 2024 performer highlighted the commitment they’ve made as lifelong partners, due to their shared responsibility as parents. The decision to get married was not an unusual one for them.
