Unni Mukundan’s latest film, Marco, had its grand launch in Munnar on Friday. Unni, joined by director Haneef Adeni and other team members, graced the event. Marco is touted to be an action-packed film and is a spin-off from Haneef’s previous hit, Mikhael. In the 2019 movie, Nivin Pauly played the hero, while Unni portrayed the villain named Marco Jr. In the upcoming film, Marco’s backstory will be showcased to learn how he got involved in the crime world. Apart from releasing in Malayalam, the film will be released in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada languages. In a recent social media post, Unni Mukundan revealed that Marco will be the most intense character ever seen in Malayalam cinema. “We promise the most intense character on screen from Malayalam! You’ve seen him as the villain, now see his heroic intensity,” he announced in the post. The team will soon announce the cast and crew details of the film.

Social media users have commented on the post. One user wrote, “Most awaited”. Another user added, “Heroism that has not been experienced before”. One person also commented, “Hope you get Pan India level reach after the release of the film”.
Marco is produced by Cubes Entertainment in collaboration with Unni Mukundan Films. The movie has Chandru Selvaraj as the cinematographer, Shameer Muhammed as the editor, and Ravi Basrur, known for his work in KGF, as the music director. Kalai Kingson has been appointed as the action choreographer.
Haneef Adeni’s previous movie as a director was Ramchandra Boss and Co, a comedy about a heist featuring Nivin Pauly.
Unni Mukundan has a bunch of new projects coming up. These include Vinay Govind’s Get-Set Baby, the fantasy flick Gandharva Jr, the long-awaited Mindiyum Paranjum directed by Arun Bose, and the Tamil film Garudan, where he acts alongside Sasikumar and Soori.
