Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu, who is celebrating his 48th birthday today, August 9, received an adorable birthday wish from his daughter Sitara Ghattamaneni. She posted a series of photos on Instagram along with a sweet note filled with love. The first picture shows Mahesh lounging on a couch with his beloved pet dog. Another photo captures him enjoying time with his pet and family. Then there is a cheerful shot of Mahesh flashing a big smile while his daughter snaps a selfie. The last picture is a touching moment of the father-daughter duo, with Sitara sitting next to Mahesh.
Alongside the heartwarming photos, Sitara wrote in the caption, “Happy Birthday, Nana! Thank you for being the best dad ever. I love you so so much.”
Soon after Sitara’s post, Mahesh’s fans flooded the comment section with birthday wishes. One user wrote, “Happy birthday,” while another user commented, “The fourth one is so cute.”
Mahesh Babu’s son, Gautam Ghattamaneni, also shared a special post for his dad on his special day. The photo which appears to be from their holiday, shows them posing in winter outfits against a snowy backdrop. “Happy Birthday, Nanna! You’re a superstar in everything you do… Here’s to celebrating you and your awesomeness today and every day!” Gautam wrote in the caption.
Mahesh Babu married actress Namrata Shirodkar in 2005. The couple is blessed with two children. They welcomed their son, Gautham, in 2006, and their daughter, Sitara, in 2012.
Mahesh Babu started his acting journey as a child artist with a cameo role in Needa (1979) at the age of four and appeared in eight more films as a child actor. He made his debut as a lead actor with Rajakumarudu (1999), which earned him the Nandi Award for Best Male Debut. Mahesh rose to fame with the supernatural drama Murari (2001) and the action film Okkadu (2003), the latter of which won him his first Filmfare Award for Best Actor – Telugu.
Over the years, he has appeared in several hit films such as Athadu, Pokiri, Dookudu, Businessman, Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu, Srimanthudu, Bharat Ane Nenu, Maharshi, Sarileru Neekevvaru and Sarkaru Vaari Paata. His upcoming project includes a film directed by SS Rajamouli, though the official details of the project have yet to be officially revealed.
