Chennai: Debut director Sakthivel Perumalsamy says the first ten minutes of forthcoming Tamil revenge drama 'Urumeen', which releases on Friday, cannot be missed at any cost.
"We've used motion capture technology briefly in our film. This part comes in the beginning for about 10 minutes and I don't want audiences to miss it as it is interconnected with the rest of the story. If the initial portion is missed, one might find it difficult to follow the story," Sakthivel told IANS.
The story spans across three generations and it features Bobby Simhaa, Kalaiarasan and Reshmi Menon in the lead roles.
While one part of the story was shot here, the second part was shot in the forests.
"It was for the third part of the story which unfolds against the backdrop of 17th century kingdom, we used motion capture," he said, adding that a team of 15 technicians from Coimbatore worked on these portions.
"I was so impressed with their work as they achieved word class output with just open source coding... All this at a very reasonable price," he said.
Talking about how he collaborated with National Award winning actor Simhaa, he said he had known him for many years.
"I've known him even before both of us entered the film industry. We were supposed to work together much earlier, but things didn't fall in place," said Sakthivel, who feels the experience that his film promises to deliver will definitely "stand out".
