Thalapathy Vijay’s Final Film Goes On Floors With A Grand Puja Ceremony: Report

Thalapathy Vijay’s much-awaited film, tentatively titled as Thalapathy 69, has been making headlines since the project was announced. His fans were eagerly waiting for more updates about the film. According to latest reports, the makers have started rolling Thalapathy 69 today in Chennai. The makers and cast recently united for a grand muhurat puja ceremony, as per a post shared by Bollywood trade analyst Taran Adarsh on X (formerly Twitter). Directed by H Vinoth, Thalapathy 69 also features Bobby Deol and Pooja Hegde in pivotal roles. Gautham Vasudev Menon, Priyamani, Prakash Raj, and Mamitha Baiju are also part of the project. Taran Adarsh posted a couple photos from the muhurat pooja on his official X handle. In the pictures, the team of Thalapathy 69 dressed in ethnic best. Sharing the photographs, the film critic wrote, “THALAPATHY VIJAY’S FINAL FILM STARTS OFF WITH GRAND MAHURAT POOJA … The much-anticipated film #Thalapathy69, starring #ThalapathyVijay, commenced with a mahurat pooja, held on the second day of #Navratri. Filming is set to begin tomorrow [5 Oct 2024].” The pictures are currently going viral.

Taran Adarsh added, “The film also features Bobby Deol and Pooja Hegde along with Gautham Vasudev Menon, Priyamani, Prakash Raj, and Mamitha Baiju. Produced by Venkat K Narayana [KVN Productions] and directed by H Vinoth, Thalapathy69 will release in October 2025 in Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi. Music by Anirudh… Co-produced by Jagadish Palanisamy and Lohith NK.”

Thalapathy 69 is the actor’s last film before he forays into politics full-time. Thalapathy Vijay officially launched his party, Tamilaga Vetri Kazhagam, and will hold the first meeting later this month. The preparations for the same are underway.

Thalapathy 69 is going to be a remarkable tribute to Thalapathy Vijay’s illustrious three-decade career. This project promises to be a grand finale that celebrates his journey and contributions to the film industry. Thalapathy 69 will be released in Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi. Releasing in October 2025, the film is bankrolled by KVN Productions.

Thalapathy Vijay was last seen in The GOAT. The film, directed by Venkat Prabhu, also stars Prashanth, Prabhu Deva, Mohan, Jayaram, Sneha, Laila, Ajmal Ameer, and Meenakshi Chaudhary in other pivotal roles.
