Joe Alwyn became a hot gossip across the globe when the actor shared some rare pictures on his Instagram feed on February 19. The post features a series of snapshots ranging from a mirror selfie to a playful photobombing moment with actor Brian Cox at a pre-BAFTA party. Alongside images of a casino and serene ocean views, the post also included an endearing throwback. A meme from the UK version of The Office, featuring Ricky Gervais’ character uttering the famous line, “Different drinks for different needs,” was also part of the photo dump.

However, what’s truly causing a stir is the connection to his ex-girlfriend, Taylor Swift. Swift made headlines by unveiling her forthcoming album, The Tortured Poets Department, during her acceptance speech for Album of the Year at the 2024 Grammys earlier this month. The album is slated to release on April 19 this year. Her fans, known as Swifties, were quick to speculate that the album might shed light on her romance and breakup with Joe Alwyn. This revelation has only added to the buzz surrounding Alwyn’s latest Instagram post.

Not only this, but Swifties also connected the album’s cryptic title as a savage nod to the group chat named The Tortured Men’s Club, Alwyn shared with his friends Andrew Scott and Paul Mescal.

“JOES GROUPCHAT [sic] W PAUL WAS CALLED THE TORTURED MENS CLUB,” one fan wrote on social media platform X.

“Apparently, Joe and paul mescal’s WhatsApp gc was called ‘the tortured mens club’ LMFAOOOOOOOOOOO,” another user added.

In 2022, Alwyn and Mescal in an interview revealed that they were part of a group chat called “The Tortured Man Club” created by their friend Scott.

The “Harriet” star whose Instagram activity had been silent since September 2023, returned to the platform without a caption. He also disabled the comments on his latest post. Swift parted ways with Alwyn in the spring of 2023 after a six-year relationship.

The Grammy winner is now dating NFL player Travis Kelce. Their romantic journey began in July 2023, during one of the singer’s Eras Tour performances at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri.

The duo went public in September 2023. As for Alwyn, there have been no reports linking him to anyone since his split with Swift.
