Amar Kaushik’s horror-comedy Stree 2 continues its unstoppable journey at the box office, surpassing the Rs 400 crore mark on its 12th day. The film, starring Rajkummar Rao, Shraddha Kapoor, Pankaj Tripathi, Aparshakti Khurana, and Abhishek Banerjee, has become the seventh Hindi film to join this elite club, standing tall among industry giants like Jawan, Gadar 2, Pathaan, Animal, Baahubali 2 (Hindi), and KGF Chapter 2 (Hindi). Produced by Maddock Films, Stree 2 has turned into an all-time blockbuster, thanks to its massive box office performance. While the film is garnering massive praise, Rajkummar Rao recently revealed that his favourite scene was cut from the film.
The actor wrote on Instagram, “#Stree2 One of my favourite and funniest scenes from the film which didn’t make it to the Final Cut. Kya aap log dekhna chahte hain ye scene film mein? Aap sab batao? (Do you want to see this scene in the film) @amarkaushik”. He shared images of himself dressed like a woman, complete with a wig. Check out the post here:

Meanwhile, with its current momentum, Stree 2 is set to cross the lifetime Hindi collection of KGF Chapter 2 (Rs 427 crore) within the next few days. Moreover, the film is on track to record the biggest third week in Hindi cinema history. The next major milestone for Stree 2 is the Rs 500 crore club, which is now almost certain. Industry experts predict that the film will reach this milestone by next week.
If the trend continues, Stree 2 could surpass the final box office figures of Animal (Rs 502 crore), Baahubali 2 Hindi (Rs 510 crore), Pathaan (Rs 513 crore), and Gadar 2 (Rs 515 crore). The movie even has the potential to dethrone Jawan, which holds the record for the highest Hindi box office collection at Rs 554 crore. Should Stree 2 achieve this historic feat, it would cement its place as an industry hit, with a record that might stand for a long time.
Talking about the success of Stree 2, Rajkummar Rao, in an exclusive interview with News18, said, “We were sure that the film would get lot of love because of the love that Stree 1 got. There’s a big fan-following for Stree, including me. I am a huge fan of Stree myself. But these numbers are way above our expectations. We are glad and super elated. There’s a lot of gratitude that this is happening with a film like Stree, because it is content-driven film.”
