Stree 2 Box Office Collection Day 6: Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao starrer Stree 2 has the cash registers ringing since its release. Having clashed with Akshay Kumar’s Khel Khel Mein and John Abraham’s Vedaa, Stree 2 already emerged as the clear winner of the extended weekend on Monday. However, despite a working Tuesday, Stree 2 continued to have a strong hold at the box office. The film collected Rs 25 Cr (early estimates) on Tuesday alone, which is higher than the opening day collections of a few movies this year.
According to Sacnilk, Stree 2 has collected Rs 254.55 Cr (net, early estimates) as of Day 6. The film is charging towards surpassing the lifetime box office collection of Kalki 2898 AD’s Hindi version. The film released in June this year and starred Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone and Kamal Haasan. Stree 2 is likely to beat that record by this weekend.
As for the Tuesday box office collection, Stree 2 witnessed the highest occupancy in the Tier 2 cities such as Jaipur, Lucknow and Bhopal. Delhi-NCR also witnessed a good footfall.
The cast and crew recently celebrated the film’s box office success. A video went viral in which Tamannaah Bhatia, Kriti Sanon and Shraddha Kapoor brought the house down with their dance moves at the Stree 2 success party. Tamannaah, Kriti and Shraddha were seen dancing to the song Aaj Ki Raat. Tamannaah performed the hookstep while Shraddha and Kriti followed her lead. Also spotted in the video were Sunny Kaushal and Abhishek Bannerjee.
Stree 2 is a sequel to the 2018 release, Stree. The first film collected a lifetime box office collection of Rs 129.90 Cr. The sequel brought back the OG cast from the first film — Rajkummar Rao, Shraddha Kapoor, Pankaj Tripathi, Abhishek Banerjee and Aparshakti Khurana. The OG director, Amar Kaushik, was also roped in for the film. However, it also added an interesting mix of actors in the form of cameos.
