Sidharth Malhotra previously played a hero in uniform in projects like ‘Shershaah’, ‘Indian Police Force’ and ‘Yodha’.

Since the beginning of the year, Sidharth Malhotra has been linked to several projects ranging from action to romance. It was recently reported that the actor has opted out of a Meghna Gulzar movie which wanted him to portray a “tough man in uniform”. It was said that Ayushmann Khurranna has been confirmed for the role along with Kareena Kapoor Khan.

While the reports of Sidharth Malhotra rejecting Meghna Gulzar’s film left his fans confused, it has now been confirmed that the actor opted out of the project because he wants to consider new genres. Sources close to the actor state that he has been turning down roles in uniform for now, preferring to take up roles that allow him to showcase his versatility as an actor and explore more varied genres of films. Sidharth previously played a hero in uniform in projects like the National Award Winning Film ‘Shershaah’, ‘Indian Police Force’ and ‘Yodha’.

Meanwhile, Sidharth will soon be working with Murad Khetani on an action movie. Even though not many details about the film are known as of now, it is being said that the film will go on floors later this year.

Besides this, rumours are rife that Sidharth will soon be reuniting on screen with his actress-wife Kiara Advani for a romantic comedy. The film will mark which will mark their first movie together since their wedding in February 2023. Recently, Sidharth was speaking to ETimes when he shared an exciting update on the film and said, “Oh yeah, that’s very much on the table. We can’t say for sure, but we were very interested in working together and finding the correct script combination, where both of us justify our roles. Also, the audience gets to see us after Shershaah, which we got a lot of love for. It is about getting the correct elements in place.”

Another source told Bollywood Hungama that the script for Sidharth and Kiara’s film has been finalised. “The script has been locked by Sid and much like Shershaah, it’s he who approached Karan to get the movie rolling. This is a fun entertainer with a quirky touch to it and not emotional like Shershaah because Sid believes people want to see him and Kiara in a happy film,” the source said.
