Shiv Thakare rose to prominence among Indian audiences after appearing on the reality show Bigg Boss 16. While he had previously participated in MTV Roadies Rising and Bigg Boss Marathi, it was his time on the Salman Khan-hosted programme that propelled him to fame. He also appeared in series such as Khatron Ke Khiladi 13 and Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 11 and earned a massively loyal fanbase. Recently, Shiv spoke about the various music video offers he got post Bigg Boss 16 and shared why he rejected most of them.
In a conversation with Filmygyan, Shiv Thakare shared that when one chooses to do a music video, they should remember that it will stay on Youtube. He added that one should not feel bad about themselves after watching the clips later. Revealing the reasons why he rejected many projects, Shiv stated, “Mujhe Bigg Boss ke baad 10–20 songs aaye the. Aapko pata hai Bigg Boss ke baad budget bhi dete hai, bade bade production wale kharcha bhi karte hai, peeche 10 15 ladkiyan hoti hai, cars hoti hai badi badi. Par woh song aapko khud ko hi acha nahi lagta hai. Phir aapka jiske saath naam judta hai..un logo ko offer hota hai, phir woh encash karna chahte hai. Agar aapka kaam sahi nahi hai, ya phir woh jo song hai aapko hi nahi pasand aaya hai..to aap woh kaam hi kyun karoge. (I had received about 10-20 music video offers. Post Bogg Boss, they give you a good budget. Big production houses are ready to spend. There are about 10–15 girls in the background, expensive cars, but despite all this, you do not like the song itself. Then again, the people you are paired with get offers, and they are to cash in on the opportunity. If your work is not right or you don’t like the song, then why take that offer).”
Recently, Shiv Thakare worked on a music video alongside Soniya Bansal titled Koi Baat Nahi. It is sung by Saaj Bhatt, composed by Amjad Nadeem Aamir and penned by Azeem Shirazi. In the interview, Shiv added that this song was not ‘great’ but he decided to take this step as he somewhat liked it. The popular production studio White Hill Beats shared the video for Koi Baat Nahi. It was shot in Nainital, Uttarakhand. The music video depicts a failed love story between Shiv and Soniya’s characters.
