Salman Khan and Sajid Nadiadwala have worked well together on films like Jeet, Judwaa, Mujhse Shaadi Karogi, Jaan-E-Mann, and Kick over the past 30 years. Their most recent project together was Kick (2014), Sajid Nadiadwala’s directorial debut that went on to become a box office hit.
And now, ten years after Kick, Salman Khan and Sajid Nadiadwala are reportedly getting back together to work on an expensive action movie. And from the looks of it, both Salman and Sajid Nadiadwala have zeroed in on a director from the South film industry for the grand project.
Reports claim that Sajid Nadiadwala has chosen AR Murugadoss to direct Salman Khan in an action film that will hopefully be released in theatres on the weekend of Eid 2025. For some time now, Salman Khan and Sajid Nadiadwala have been talking about working together. Salman was reportedly the first person that came to mind when Nadiadwala and AR Murugadoss discussed this topic. When the producer brought up the film with Salman, the superstar immediately said “yes,” according to reports. The action entertainer is a global production that will reportedly be filmed in several countries this year.
AR Murgadoss made his Hindi film debut with the Aamir Khan starrer Ghajini, which was a remake of his own Tamil film of the same name starring Suriya. His second Hindi film was Holiday starring Akshay Kumar, another Hindi remake of his Tamil film Thupakki. He also directed 2017’s Akira starring Sonakshi Sinha which failed to do well at the box office. His next projects, the Rajinikanth starrer Darbar as well as the Tamil-Telugu bilingual Spyder failed to achieve the desired success.
After Darbar in 2020, AR Murgadoss took a break from directing and the Salman Khan starrer will be his grand comeback of sorts. According to the source, this will be the biggest-ever collaboration of Salman and Sajid, and the duo is looking to take action to the next level.
Earlier, there were reports of Salman teaming up with another Tamil director Atlee for Dabangg 4 but the official confirmation for the same is yet to be made.
