After Sana Makbul emerged as the winner of Bigg Boss OTT 3 earlier this month, she talked about her fights with Ranvir Shorey and called him a ‘male chauvinist’. Now, in a new interview with Siddharth Kannan, the Shekhar Home actor reacted to Sana’s words and called her a ‘female chauvinist’. He slammed Makbul and expressed that just because she is a woman, does not mean she can ‘misbehave’ with others.
“Mein manta hu wo female chauvinist hain. Aur izzat na, jab aap dusro ko izzat dete ho, taab aapko izzat milti hain. Sirf ladki hona koi license nahi hain to misbehave and be unapologetic about it. Toh jaha jaha aap misbhehave kiye, uska aapne suna. Toh ro maat ki aapki izzat nahi dii. (I believe she is a female chauvinist. And respect, you know, you receive respect when you give it to others. Just being a woman doesn’t give you a license to misbehave and be unapologetic about it. So, wherever you misbehaved, you were called out for it. So, don’t cry about not being respected),” Ranvir said.
When Sana Makbul Called Ranvir Shorey a ‘Male Chauvinist’:
After her Bigg Boss OTT 3 win, Sana Makbul spoke exclusively to News18 Showsha and accused Ranvir Shorey of dominating women. “When he questioned my class and called me a ‘gutterchaap’, it wasn’t expected from him. He said this and after that, I stopped respecting him. I feel bad for the way I spoke to him but I think he deserves it,” she said.
“I do feel that strong-headed women are targeted in our society, especially when men like Ranvir ji are so male chauvinist and narcissistic. Voh chaheinge ke ladkiya unke neeche dab ke rahe (they want women to follow their orders) but the world is changed and you can’t dominate women. Strong women like me are head high,” the actress said.
Sana Makbul and Ranvir Shorey’s rivalry was one of the major highlights of Bigg Boss OTT 3. They were always at loggerheads and were often seen getting into ugly fights with each other. While Sana emerged as the winner of the controversial reality show, Naezy was the second runner-up. They were followed by Ranvir Shorey, Sai Ketan Rao and Kritika Malik.
