Filmmaker Imtiaz Ali recently spilled the beans about Ranbir Kapoor’s fan antics. During an interview with Ranveer Allahbadia on his podcast, Imtiaz shared that Ranbir loves chatting with his fans, bombarding them with loads of questions that are often boring.

Imtiaz said, “Ab dekhiye kaise Ranbir Kapoor interested hota hai kisi mein bhi. Kab uske fans aake usse milte hai, unse zyada toh usko interest hota hai ke bhai aap kaha se aaye ho? Aapne bus pakdi thi? Subah kya khaya tha? Iss tarah ke boring sawal bhi woh puchne lagta hai. Toh interest itna zyada hota hai logo mein (Now see how Ranbir Kapoor gets interested in anyone. When his fans come to meet him, he’s more interested in asking, ‘Where are you from? Did you catch a bus? What did you eat for breakfast?’ He starts asking such boring questions).”

Imtiaz discussed more about what it takes to be a good actor on the podcast. He used Ranbir Kapoor as an example of someone who has the necessary qualities to succeed in acting. He said, “Empathy is one of the inherent qualities… They don’t have to be kind, but some people possess the ability to look at a person and immediately understand what they’re feeling. But acting isn’t merely understanding emotions, it’s also expressing them.”

In an earlier interview with The Indian Express, Imtiaz had recalled meeting Ranbir when he was young. “I saw Ranbir when he was a kid and I was a young man. I was at a restaurant in South Mumbai, where he came with his parents, he had floppily straight hair and was looking very nervous and embarrassed. He later fell down from his chair in the restaurant, further embarrassing himself. He was looking like a typical star kid, wearing formal clothes.”

The filmmaker worked with Ranbir Kapoor for the first time in the film Rockstar, which is considered as the actor’s one of the best performance.
