After a successful theatrical release on March 28, 2024, the film will captivate OTT viewers with its gripping narrative. Based on Benyamin’s novel and inspired by true events, Aadujeevitham chronicles the harrowing journey of Najeeb Muhammed, an Indian immigrant in Saudi Arabia. His hopes for a better life turn into a nightmare when he is trapped in the desert and forced to live as a shepherd and slave. The film sheds light on the plight of migrant workers and the resilience of the human spirit.
Aadujeevitham has been critically acclaimed for its narrative and strong performances. The film delves deeply into themes of survival, exploitation and the quest for freedom and has resonated with audiences across the globe. Netflix announced the film’s digital release date on its official Instagram page.
“Pradheekshayum porattavum niranja Najeebinde jeevitha katha. #Aadujeevitham is coming to Netflix on 19th July in Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Hindi! #AadujeevithamOnNetflix,” the post read.
Despite grappling with personal grief, Najeeb was motivated to attend the screening in hopes that Aadujeevitham would resonate widely.
He shared his emotional reaction in an interview, stating, “I spent most of the scenes in tears, and at times, it was too painful to watch. I’ve received numerous messages from people saying they’ve booked their tickets and are eager to see the film … My infant grandson passed away last week.” Najeeb added that despite the emergency, his family had encouraged him to attend the ceremony. If his family would not have persuaded him, he wouldn’t have considered it. Najeeb concluded the interview saying that his only wish is for the film’s success and for everyone to see it.
Prithviraj Sukumaran has many other films lined up for his acting credit. He acted in Kaaliyan, and Metro Gauge 1904. He last acted in the movie Guruvayoor Ambalanadayil, directed by Vipin Das. This movie has raked in mixed reviews from the critics and the audiences. The audience opined that there was a lack of an intriguing storyline post-intermission.
