Preity Zinta, known for her roles in iconic films like Dil Se, Kal Ho Naa Ho, and Veer-Zaara, has been away from the silver screen for a long time. However, after a hiatus of 6 years, the actress is back and currently shooting for Lahore 1947 with Sunny Deol. Recently, Preity Zinta opened up about her break and said she wanted to concentrate on her personal life.
In an interview with DD India, Preity Zinta said, “I didn’t want to do a film. I was focusing on business, I wanted to focus on my personal life. People forget that for women, as actors, your craft is important, you want a body of work, but you have a biological clock. I’ve never dated anyone in the industry. I’ve never dated an actor. So the logical thing was I also needed to have my own family. It’s great to play various lives, but you shouldn’t forget to live your life. So I wanted to have children. Business was also very exciting since it was something new. But mostly, I wanted to focus on my personal life. I really don’t want to be an accomplished actor and a lonely person.”
Well, the actress did mention that she was reading scripts in the last six years but nothing exciting was coming in. In April, she announced the beginning of the shoot Taking to her official Instagram account, Preity posted the pics and wrote: “On set for Lahore 1947,” accompanied by ‘new movie’ and ‘shooting’ hashtags. ‘Lahore 1947’ is being produced by Aamir Khan. Preity Zinta and Sunny Deol have previously collaborated on multiple films like Hero: Love Story of a Spy, Farz and Bhaiyaji Superhit. Sunny Deol made his grand comeback last year with Gadar 2. The film became a massive blockbuster at the box office.
Well, Preity Zinta is currently in Cannes 2024, setting the internet on fire with her looks.
