Kamal Haasan has been in the headlines for a long time for his new film Indian 2. The film received a massive attraction from the audiences after it was released on July 12. Since the release of the film, Kamal Haasan has been busy with promotional events. Amid all this, a picture of the renowned actor has gone viral on the Internet, creating a massive buzz among fans. The picture was widely shared by fans on various social media platforms. According to reports, Kamal Haasan joined the Association of Malayalam Movie Artists, popularly known as AMMA. The association posted a picture of Kamal Haasan and other dignitaries on their Instagram handle. From the picture posted, we can see the other office bearers handing over the membership card to the veteran actor.
Posting the picture on Instagram, they captioned it, “The strength of the family is it’s each individual member, the strength of each member is the family! UlagaNayagan Kamal Haasan sir received our honorary membership and initiated our membership campaign. Wishes for Indian 2 on behalf of our whole AMMA family sir. Membership campaign days ahead.”
The actor was reportedly at Kochi for some promotional event of the film, when he was greeted with the membership of the esteemed organisation of Malayalam film artists.
The organisation AMMA was formed in 1994 and is headquartered in Kochi, Kerala. Presently, the organisation has more than 500 members. The present president of the organisation is popular actor and producer Mohanlal, while the current general secretary of the body is well-known actor Siddique.
The film Indian has received a massive attraction from audiences around the globe. Following the first day of its release, the film recorded a box office collection of around Rs 25.1 crore in India. The film reportedly got a mixed response from the critics. Alongside Kamal Haasan, the film also stars Priya Bhavani Shankar, Rakul Preet Singh and Siddharth in leading roles.
