Threeory Band is set to perform at News18 Showsha Reel Awards 2014. From chart-topping hits to classic favourites, they’ve got the perfect playlist to get the party started and make memories that will last a lifetime. Their breakthrough collaboration with Sandeep Reddy Vanga for Animal gained them a lot of momentum.
Now, after basking in the success of Animal’s Roja Mashup, Threeory Band will be performing at News18 Showsha Reel Awards this year. The band was first formed in 2013 by Mark and Sai, who then decided to bring on a drummer and call the band “Threeory”, after the three founding members.
Earlier, in an exclusive conversation with News18 Showsha, “In 2023, our ensemble has grown to include nine talented members. This diverse group consists of a male and female vocalist, a drummer, a guitarist, a violinist, a keyboard player, a sitarist, a tabla player, and a bassist. Over the years, we’ve evolved into a remarkably talented and multifaceted musical collective!”
Speaking about how they came up to collaborate on Animal, they said, “Six years ago, fate led us to perform at Arjun Reddy’s audio launch, where we first crossed paths with Sandeep Reddy Vanga. Shortly after, he stumbled upon our ‘Roja’ rendition on YouTube. A little surprise call later, we found ourselves rushing to catch a flight to Mumbai for a shoot, clueless about what awaited us. The day before the shoot, he introduced us to Ranbir Kapoor and Rashmika Mandana, unveiling his vision for Ranbir’s grand entrance.”
Threeory’s rendition of Roja was played during Ranbir Kapoor’s entry sequence in the film and it went viral instantly, generating a lot of buzz for the band. They will now perform live in Mumbai on March 9 at News18 Showsha Reel Awards. The event will be celebrating the exemplary performances in Hindi cinema this year.
