Alia Bhatt has walked the red carpet for Met Gala 2024. She has been grabbing headlines for her look and getting praise from everywhere. Neetu Kapoor also took to her social handle and praised her daughter in law. She shared Alia‘s look and called it fabulous.

Taking to her Instagram stories, Neetu Kapoor shared the photo of Alia Bhatt and wrote, “Fabulous’. The global icon takes the internet by storm every time she walks the red carpet. And her this year’s Met Gala look was no exception. Alia hit the Met gala red carpet wearing an absolutely stunning saree designed by Sabyasachi. Interestingly, Alia’s entry in the traditional outfit received the loudest cheers on the red carpet at the Met gala. International paparazzi couldn’t stop screaming Alia’s name as she posed for them on the red carpet.

While it made for a historic moment, Alia made sure that the pressure didn’t bog her down. “It’s not about giving yourself too much pressure and taking it seriously. It’s a massive and big deal but it was also about having fun and light on the inside, so that your face looks lit up and happy. That’s something I was focusing on. Having said that, I really had a lovely time,” she said.

The saree designed by renowned couturier Sabyasachi Mukherjee who also walked the carpet this year, took 1965 man hours and around 163 artisans to bring this vision to life. What we love about Alia is that she looked so proud about representing India in a silhouette she holds close to her heart. “When I thought of the dress code ‘Garden of Time’, I felt it needed something timeless and nothing is more timeless than a sari,” expressed Alia.

She further added, “It has taken a lot of love, labour and a lot of effort and anything that takes a lot of love and time lasts forever, just like the garden of time.”

Meanwhile, on the film front, Alia will soon be seen in Jigra. The film is directed by Vasan Bala and jointly produced by Alia and Karan Johar. She has also signed Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love and War alongside Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal.
