The first snap from Mr and Mrs Mahi’s film posters captured Rajkummar Rao and Janhvi Kapoor smiling from ear to ear at a cricket stadium.

Rajkummar Rao and Janhvi Kapoor portray “imperfectly perfect” partners in fresh posters of Mr and Mrs Mahi. Buzz surrounding the upcoming Sharan Sharma directorial and Karan Johar production has already reached a fever pitch. Amid the premiere anticipation, the makers decided to take the excitement of movie buffs a notch higher by dropping a set of film posters. Mr & Mrs Mahi marks Rajkummar Rao and Janhvi Kapoor’s second film after their 2021 horror-comedy Roohi. The much-anticipated sports drama is slated to hit the silver screens on May 31.

The team associated with Mr & Mrs Mahi shared the posters on social media on May 8. The pictures offered a glimpse into the dynamics of the protagonists. The first snap captured Rajkummar Rao and Janhvi Kapoor smiling from ear to ear at a cricket stadium. Their cheeks were painted with the tricolours of the Indian flag. The photo made it clear that the duo were ardent supporters of the Indian cricket team. The co-stars even wore Team India jerseys. In the two other posters, they squealed and jumped in joy from the stands as the National Flag swayed in the distance and the blurred crowd cheered at the back. “An imperfectly perfect partnership,” read the poster tagline.

Rajkummar Rao and Janhvi Kapoor’s lovey-dovey equation was highly appreciated by the masses. “Can’t wait” was the sentiment shared by many. A person lauded the pairing of “National Award Winner Rajkummar Rao With So Pretty Janhvi Kapoor”. Since Mr & Mrs Mahi is reportedly inspired by the life of former Indian captain MS Dhoni, the popular phrase “Thala for a reason” started trending among cricket lovers.

Mr & Mrs Mahi is collaboratively produced by Dharma Productions and Zee Studios. Sharan Sharma and Nikhil Mehrotra have penned the script. According to a report by Bollywood Hungama, the trailer is expected to drop in the second week of May, followed by the songs with a “compact campaign of around three weeks.”

Meanwhile, Rajkummar Rao is geared up for the release of Srikanth on May 10. The biographical drama is based on the life of a visually impaired Indian industrialist — Srikanth Bolla. On the other hand, Janhvi Kapoor’s pipeline of films includes Sudhanshu Saria’s Ulajh, her Telugu debut Devara opposite Jr NTR and Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari co-starring Varun Dhawan.
