Manisha Koirala is basking in immense love from the audience for her role in Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar. Her portrayal of Mallikajaan in the series has taken the internet by storm. Amid this, the actress jetted off to the United Kingdom. She met the UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak at his residence, 10 Downing Street. Koirala represented her country Nepal celebrating 100 years of its ‘friendship treaty’ with the UK. She was pleasantly surprised to know that most of the attendees at the event had watched her latest web series, ‘Heeramandi’.
On Tuesday, Manisha gave her fans a peek into her meeting with the UK PM Sunak. The first few pictures captured the Heeramandi star indulging in some fun moments with the attendees. The UK diaries of the actress also included her solo picture, proudly flaunting the Indian heritage in a saree. For the special day, she draped herself in a black Banarasi saree adorned with golden intricate floral patterns. The Khamoshi actor teamed the saree with a solid black blouse having sophisticated full sleeves. Encapsulating the essence of elegance, the picture was captured outside 10 Downing Street.
Manisha was proud and excited to represent her country at the event. She expressed it all in her caption attached to the pictures and wrote, “It was an honour to be invited to 10 Downing Street to celebrate United Kingdom – Nepal relations and 100 years of our friendship treaty. It was such a pleasure to hear the Prime Minister @rishisunakmp speak fondly of our country #nepal (sic).”

The Dil Se actor, in her caption, also shared that she invited Rishi Sunak and his family for a trek at the Everest Base Camp. She further mentioned, “Can you believe that most of the attendees had seen #heeramandionnetflix and loved it? I was thrilled!! (sic).”
Manisha’s last project was Heeramandi, directed by ace director Sanjay Leela Bhansali. The Netflix original series premiered on May 1 and received mixed responses from the audiences. However, the actress’s role as Mallikajaan etched a special mark on everyone’s heart, prompting them to go gaga over her timeless beauty and remarkable talent.
