Dubbed a horror crime drama, the Tamil show Inspector Rishi is available to stream on Amazon Prime Video. It started streaming on the platform on March 29, 2024. The story of the show revolves around a partially blind cop named Rishi, who is transferred to a jungle area to deal with multiple cases of murder, after losing his pregnant girlfriend. One of the main aspects of the show is its themes of the supernatural, introducing the viewers to a demigod named Vanaratchasi, the culprit behind the mysterious murders.
Through this series, the makers have created an intriguing blend of folklore and supernatural. Moreover, it delves into several subplots involving the supporting cast, with characters like Ayyanar, Chitra and the lead himself, Rishi.

The lead of the series Naveen Chandra is a notable name in South Indian cinema, working in languages like Tamil and Telugu. His last Tamil release was Jigarthanda DoubleX, a critically acclaimed 2023 release. The film is directed and written by Karthik Subbaraj and stars Raghava Lawrence, SJ Suryah and Nimisha Sajayan in important roles. Karthik Subbaraj has co-produced the film with Kaarthekeyen Santhanam, S Kathiresan and Alankar Pandian under the banners of Stone Bench Films, Five Star Creations and Invenio Origin.
