Lady Gaga and Michael Polansky have been turning heads with their public displays of affection (PDAs) and a seemingly blossoming romance. The couple hinted at their engagement during the Paris Olympics and recently made a striking red carpet-debut at the Venice International Film Festival while promoting Gaga’s film Joker: Folie à Deux.
During her appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live, Gaga shared insights into their relationship, including the heartwarming moment when Polansky proposed. “He proposed to me right after my birthday, so my birthday passed and I was like, ‘Oh, I thought he was going to propose.’ We went on a trip together, and we went rock climbing, and we’ve been rock climbing before, which was super fun,” she said.
Gaga went on to recall how they climbed to the top, made a tour, took pictures and came down to their room, chatting on the way. “And he actually — it was very Michael — he asked me if he could ask me. He wanted to know if it was OK to propose before he proposed. And I was like, ‘Yes, it’s so OK! ” she added.
As Kimmel asked why Polansky didn’t propose to her on the top after rock climbing or did not get down on his knee, she noted, “I think it was smart. It was safe. He had the ring in his backpack, so it was super cute. He didn’t [propose], but I’m a modern lady. I like what he did.”
Lady Gaga Opens Up On Wedding Plans
During the conversation, Gaga also spoke about her wedding plans for the future, stating that she is considering keeping it low-key and intimate. “We actually talk a lot about just going to a courthouse with the two of us and just ordering Chinese food. But knowing me, it could also become a circus with unicorns,” she said.
It is worth mentioning that Gaga and Polansky were first romantically linked in 2020. They were spotted in public together in Miami for the 2020 Super Bowl. It was eventually at the Paris Olympics 2024 that Gaga referred to Michael Polansky as “my fiance.”
