Joker 2 Photos: Joaquin Phoenix Romances Harley Quinn aka Lady Gaga in New Joker Folie à Deux Stills

New photos from Joker 2 have been released and they show Joaquin Phoenix and Lady Gaga in their romance era. Joker 2, officially titled as Joker: Folie à Deux, brings back Joaquin Phoenix as Joker and introduces Lady Gaga as Harley Quinn. On the occasion of Valentine’s Day, director Todd Phillips took to Instagram and treated fans to new stills of the on-screen couple. The photos gave a glimpse at Phoenix in his Joker avatar while Gaga joined in as Harley.

In the first photo, Phoenix and Gaga appeared to be on stage with the spotlight on them. Phoenix was seen sporting his Joker make-up while Gaga appeared in minimal make-up. In the second photo, the on-screen couple appeared to be sharing a heartwarming moment. While Phoenix stood on one side of the bars, Gaga was seen on the other side. In the third still, Gaga and Phoenix were seen dancing on the rooftop. Gaga appeared to be wearing a wedding dress while Phoenix was suited up.

Phillips shared the stills with the caption, “Hoping your day is full of love. 10.4.24.”

Fans took to the comments section and showered the photos with love. “Thank you so much for this gift ❤️,” a comment read. “The duo we NEEDED this Valentine’s Day,” added another. “SO READY FOR THE MOVIE OF THE YEAR ❤,” a third comment read.

According to Variety, Joker: Folie à Deux is rumoured to be a musical. In an exclusive chat with News18, Joker 2’s music director Sam Slater teased Joker: Folie à Deux. The musician has confirmed he is a part of the Joaquin Phoenix and Lady Gaga starrer and revealed that his work on Joker 2 is mostly done. “That’s done, I think. I think I can say that, yeah it is done,” he said.

Given that Joker 2 has a musical name associated to it in the form of Lady Gaga, we asked him if Gaga is involved in the musical process or even sang a song or two in the movie, Sam said, “You will just have to wait and see. But they’ve done a great job, they’ve done a really good job, that’s all I can say.”
