Janhvi Kapoor Fangirls Over Vishal Mishra, Says 'Roya Jab Tu' From Mr And Mrs Mahi 'Moves Me'

Bollywood actress Janhvi Kapoor revealed her favourite songs from her upcoming film, Mr & Mrs Mahi. The actress, who is playing the lead in the film, attended the music launch of the film on Friday afternoon. At the launch, she praised all the artists involved in making the melodious album but named two songs that were have her heart. She revealed she loves the song Tu Hai Toh but her favourite song from the film is Roya Jab Tu.

Sung by Vishal Mishra, Janhvi said that the song moves her every time she listens to it and praised Vishal. “I am a big fan of Vishal’s voice and I am really excited for Roya Jab Tu. I think he’s such a special artist, the way he has sung this song, it moves me every time,” she said at the music launch hosted by Spotify India. Watch the video below:

Vishal also performed the song at the music launch and Janhvi was impressed with his performance. Not only did she surrender to his performance, she was also seen recording his performance. She hooted and cheered him on as he performed the magical song.

Meanwhile, Mr & Mrs Mahi released the trailer a few weeks ago and revealed that Janhvi will essay the role of a cricketer. Directed by Sharan Sharma, known for Gunjan Saxena, the film features Rajkummar Rao and Janhvi Kapoor in the lead roles. The promo reveals the actors as a married couple who share a passion for cricket. Janhvi Kapoor’s character is a doctor who enjoys watching and playing cricket, while Rajkummar Rao’s character is an aspiring cricketer who hasn’t yet made a name for himself in the sport.

Janhvi Kapoor recently said she wants to the film to MS Dhoni. However, there’s a challenge since Dhoni seems to be too busy. She shared this wish at the launch of the film’s new song, Dekha Tenu, while sharing the stage with co-star Rajkummar Rao. “Of course we want to show this film to MS Dhoni and his wife, Sakshi Dhoni but he is very busy, I’m sure. You also please help,” Janhvi Kapoor said, urging the media to help spread the word. Director Sharan Sharma added, “One of the biggest reasons to make the film.”
