The year 2015 wasn’t just about phenomenal performances and great films. It was a year that gave movie buffs multiple reasons to rejoice as conventional topics and done-to-death formulas took a backseat. While the eventful 2015 saw its share of disappointments, it did surprise many as successful films didn’t only stick to big production houses. There were several small budget and independent films which were impressive in their own niche ways.

In the third edition of IBNLive Movie Awards, we select nominees in various popular categories and allow our readers decide the outcome. Take our poll to vote and choose your favourite action film of 2015.

NH-10

Anushaka Sharma's debut venture as a producer was a niche film in so many ways. Apart from a strong projection of women the film was filled with violence, rage and lot's of action. Abdul Salaam Ansari, the action director of the film gave the required raw and edgy touch to the stunts

Badlapur

Badlapur can easily be considered as the milestone of Varun Dhawan's career. The film had dark, gritty and unadulterated action which went perfectly with the film's mood and setting.

Baby

You know the action sequence would be perfect when you have Akshay Kumar in the film with serious drama. 'Baby' an action crime thiller film with terrorists, plots and a hero had a ton f life saving and patriotic action. Abbas Ali Moghul and Cyril Raffaelli did a brilliant job in making the action sequences the soul of the film.

Phantom

Another patriotic film involving schemes and terrorist, 'Phantom' might not have been a success but the film had a lot of action. With machine guns and fight sequences used properly, the film qualifies in our list of best action of 2015.

Bajirao Mastani

Sanjay Leela Bhansali's dream project starring Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone was a love story of two warriors, hence promised a lot of action. Some VFX and some real, the film was atreat to the eyes. With swoard fighting scenes to one on one combat ,'Bajirao Mastani' had it all.
