R Madhavan and his wife Saritha’s love story is straight out of a romantic film. Their paths crossed during one of the actor’s public speaking workshops. Soon, love blossomed between the two. After dating for a few years, the couple exchanged vows and have been going strong ever since. They completed 25 years of marriage and sealed the day with an intimate candlelight dinner.
Just like the romantic characters he is popular for, the RHTDM actor took his wife Saritha out for a date to commemorate their silver jubilee. The couple enjoyed a delectable meal together and even cut a cake to mark the special day. Offering a glimpse of their heartwarming celebration, the Rocketry star posted a story on his Instagram handle. The romantic image showcases his wife hugging from behind as they pose for a selfie with the cake. The actor wrote, “@bastianmumbai a special special evening.. 25 years of togetherness (emojis).”
Hours before the anniversary post, Madhavan also reshared a post by his son Vedaant on his Instagram handle. In the story, Vedaant extends his heartfelt wishes to his parents as he wrote, “Happy 25th anniversary. Have the best day and many more to come.” Resharing the same, the Shaitaan actor, “You have been our biggest achievement and blessing my boy.”
FYI, Madhavan and Saritha celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary at Shilpa Shetty Kundra’s restaurant in Mumbai. Shetty’s husband Raj Kundra also seized the opportunity and wished the couple with a special post on social media. He posted a never-before-seen picture from his archive and wrote, “Happy 25th wedding anniversary @msaru15 @actormaddy love you guys (heart emoji).”
