HanuMan director Prasanth Varma had earlier announced his project with Ranveer Singh. It did not work out and the actor left the project after a ‘difference of opinion’. In a recent interview, the director shared that he is hopeful to work on a project with Singh and he also mentioned that that he is still on talking terms with the actor.
In a conversation with Hindustan Times, Prasanth Varma mentioned that he still hopes to work on a project with Singh. He said that he has put the difference that stemmed in the past. The director said, “Ranveer… we still talk to each other. It was just a difference of opinion between us, that’s all. So, it’s okay, jathakalu kalavaledu (the stars didn’t align). We will work together someday.”
Earlier, Varma and Singh had shared a joint statement and mentioned that their film, Rakshas, has been shelved. Varma said, “Ranveer’s energy and talent is rare to find. We shall manifest our forces combining soon sometime in the future.” Singh, on the other hand, said, “Prasanth is a very special talent. We met and explored the idea of a film together. Hopefully, we will collaborate on something exciting in the future.”
On the work front, Singh is gearing up for the release of Singham Again. Helmed by Rohit Shetty, the movie will also star Ajay Devgn, Kareena Kapoor, Deepika Padukone, Arjun Kapoor, Tiger Shroff, and Akshay Kumar in key roles. The movie will be released in theatres on November 1. Varma, on the other hand, announced his next film – Mahakali. The Telugu director is also working on an untitled film that will launch Nandamuri Balakrishna’s son, Mokshagna. He also has the sequel of HanuMan, Jai Hanuman, next in line.
