An FIR has been lodged against Kannada television actor Varun Aradhya, popularly known for his serial Brindavan, at the Basaveshwara Nagar Police Station in Bengaluru. The complaint was filed by a social media influencer, accusing Varun of blackmail and death threats.
According to the report, the girl complained that she and Varun had been in a relationship since 2019. They met through Instagram, and they both gained popularity by creating reels. Over time, their friendship changed into love. However, the relationship took a different turn when Varun allegedly began using private photos and videos of herself to manipulate and threaten her. The news is currently going viral. Now actor Varun has clarified this through a video that is garnering everyone’s attention.
In the video, Varun said, “All the news is spreading that I have done blackmail. But all this is not true; the real story is different,” he said. Varun further said, “I have not threatened anyone’s life; I have not blackmailed anyone by holding their video photos. Varun shared the video on social media and said that all the rumours against me were false.”
He also added, “The photos and videos were shared by fan pages. This is related to the deletion of videos and photos in my account. All matters are openly investigated and cleared before the police. The problem is also solved. I’m fine; they’re fine. I have not been to jail.” Lastly, actor Varun Aradhya has also asked people not to spread fake news as he is currently at home. The complainant claimed that Varun secretly recorded intimate photos and videos during their relationship. Matters intensified in July 2023, when his partner reportedly discovered images of him with another female on his phone. When questioned, Varun threatened to release her private images and videos online if she revealed the incident to anyone.
The situation worsened on September 10, 2023, when Varun allegedly sent an obscene photo of herself to her number. Shocked by the explicit photo, she confronted him, but he continued to abuse and threaten her. Varun reportedly used abusive language, targeted her body, and made death threats, warning that he would kill her if she ever married someone else.
