Famous for her role as meek and shy Gopi Vahu on Saath Nibhaana Saathiya, Devoleena Bhattacharjee is now showing a different side of her real personality on Bigg Boss 14. In a conversation with co-contestant Rakhi Sawant, Devoleena has revealed some secrets about her personal life. When Rakhi asked if Devoleena was interested in housemate Rahul Vaidya. Devoleena said she wasn’t as Rahul has a girlfriend out in the world (Disha Parmar).
Devoleena also confessed she has a boyfriend as well. The revelation has left many viewers confused and surprised.
Usually, the personal lives of celebrities are not so personal and gossip about their relationships often come out in the media. But Devoleena’s alleged boyfriend has never been discussed among the fans or media. Devoleena was also a part of the previous season of the show which she could not complete as left due to medical emergency. This season, she was called back as a “Challenger” to replace Eijaz Khan because he had to quit the show midway.
In an interview with The Times of India, Devoleena’s mother, Anima Bhattacharjee, was equally taken aback by the revelation. “I don’t have any idea about her relationship outside. She treats everyone like a friend and is good to all of them, so I don’t know who she was talking about. It could be possible, she might just surprise me after coming out of the house,” Anima said.
Anima, who is in Guwahati, said if her daughter were to tell her about this boyfriend or ask for an opinion, then she would travel to Mumbai to meet the guy and then decide.
Apart from her love life, Anima was impressed by her daughter’s performance on the show for the last two weeks. “I feel that she is playing the game better this year. Last year she had a back injury due to which she had to leave, but she was doing good on the show,” Anima said. Watching her daughter be active in tasks and make friends is something she has been enjoying.
