The district court in Ongole, Andhra Pradesh ordered the 51-year-old actor to pay all legal fees and sentenced him to jail concerning the cheque bounce case. This case commenced in 2019 after Bandla borrowed Rs 95 lakh from an individual called Jetti Venkateshwarlu. He then gave Jetti a post-dated cheque for the same amount. Jetti hails from Muppalla village in Guntur. However, the cheque bounced due to insufficient money following which the victim went on to take legal action against the actor-producer.
The Ongole court, following a long-drawn court battle, pronounced its verdict on Wednesday. It ruled against Bandla, however, giving him a month to file an appeal, adding that he would not be arrested immediately.
